Throughout the year, many Celtic and Gaelic festivals and events celebrate and share our Cape Breton Celtic culture.

Celtic Colours International Festival Cape Breton

The Celtic Colours International Festival in October is, of course, the major music and cultural event on the festival schedule. The festival offers an activity and culture-filled 9 days, featuring live music concerts with some of the world’s finest Celtic musicians, workshops and learning opportunities, a nightly Festival Club, community suppers and much more! The Gaelic College of Celtic Arts & Crafts is host to the Féis a' Mhoid (Gaelic Mod) and the Festival of Cape Breton Fiddling presented by the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association, both events in August. For more information, visit: www.gaeliccollege.edu

Besides its annual Highland Village Day concert, the Highland Village/An Clachan Gàidhealachpresents Feasgar an Truisg – traditional codfish suppers – one in July and one in August. Inverness County is host to many community festivals from July to October, including Firemen’s Ceilidh Days in Scotsville, the Whycocomagh Summer Festival, the Mabou Ceilidh Festival, Chestico Days in Port Hood, the Margaree Summer Festival, Judique on the Floor Days, and more.
